About me

I was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, spending only my first half of my life there, the other part mostly in Austria, also in Germany and England. After high school, initially I studied natural sciences (biology and chemistry), wanting to be a researcher on the field of immun-biology and genetics, also taking intense lessions in philosophy, film ästhetics and psychology. After getting know the work and legacy of Rudolf Steiner at around age 21, I started to pursue an education in Waldorf pedagogy in Solymár, Budapest, later I swapped to art teacher for Waldorf schools and enrolled to Goetheanistische Studienstätte, Vienna, a private art academy with art teacher´s degree for Waldorf schools.

During my studies there, my main focus was in sculpturing (wood and stone) and after the first financial successes with different kind of art projects, I started building small instruments (7-stringed childrens harp, psalteries) on request of kindergarten teachers in my circles.

This small student side business got a serious turn as A. Lehmann, a German Instrument maker asked me to hold his instrument workshop in Vienna that year instead of him. At the and, that workhop didn´t take place, but Mr. Lehmann passed on to me a lot of his knowledge in a short period of time. It was a decisive impuls to turn my full attention towards instrument making.

It lead me writing my thesis (final work) on 'form and sound creation' in my last year, also visiting several famous Lyre-making workshops in a study-trip, amongst others Gärtner, Choroi, Lehmann and Horst Nieder, gathering valuable inspirations and concrete know-how.

After a few years of giving instrument-building workshops, also being involved in Waldorf kindergarten and school teacher training in Croatia, Slovenia and Austria, working as an art teacher (Freie Waldorfschule, Graz) and parallely, building instruments, end of 2004, I got an order to develope and build a 4-octave Tao-lyre, it was Peter Fausch from Gemeinschaftsklinik Havelhöhe, that-time head of the Anthroposophical Music Therapy Seminary, Berlin.

After developing and finishing that first 4-octave Tao-Lyre, called ´Bass Tao-Lyre´ I had the unexpected discovery of the phenomenal healing effects of the vibroacoustic Tao, that changed everything.(You can read more on that discovery here.)

Tao, that changed everything: I quitted my architecture studies at around bachelor's level at Technische Universität Vienna and devoted myself completely to this new discovery and impuls. An extremely intense research  period followed  with hundreds upon hundreds of trial treatments, gathering and analysing feedbacks, consulting with professionals (doctors, eurhythmists, healing eurhythmists, massagists of different kind, kinesiologists and musicians, phenomenologically structuring and utilizing all the experience -here, my researcher vein kicked in again, leading to the developement of the main body of my vibroacoustic Tao-technique and method that since then has been further refined and differentiated.

From that moment on, my main focus was on the Tao-scale, Tao-Lyre and the vibrouacoustic Tao. Soon, the architecture background (planful construction process from idea to realisation)  to develope the new Tao- resonance Instruments (Tao-Sound Bed and Sound Cabin).

I started to give workshops on my vibroacoustic method with the Tao-Instruments mainly for musical therapitsts, also for massagist, psychoterapists, kinesiologists.

Already in 2010, the new method has been introduced at the anthroposophical medicinal conference at the Goetheanum by Monica Bissegger, music therapist at Filderklinik (Filderstadt Germany) based on her clinical experiences with the first Tao-Sound Bed in use. From that moment on this new method has been accepted and, basically, „canonized“ into the anthroposophical music therapy finding further and further dissemination in clinical and therapeutic environments.

2011 the second copy in use in der Ita Wegman Clinic (Arlesheim, Switzerland) lead to the first and very revealing clinical study with my Tao-Instruments.

2013 my 30-minute documentary film was made, originally, intending to be an initial spark for a reasearch and developement community for the Tao-scale and its therapeutic applications.
